What blinds can you NOT repair?

We do NOT repair "cordless" blinds that are NOT Hunter Douglas.
We do NOT repair "power/remote control" blinds that are NOT Hunter Douglas.
We do NOT repair "vertical tracks/headrails" vertical blinds that are NOT Hunter Douglas.
We do NOT repair “Pella Blinds” These are the blinds inside the window/window glass. We do NOT repair “ladder strings” on any blind.

How to fix broken strings on blinds?

How to fix broken strings on blinds? It’s Not Just Cords. Faulty cord locks and warn-out blind parts are to blame, on most blinds & shades. When the cords break on your blinds, there are hidden problems that caused the cords to break, for example; the cord lock, wand tilter, tassels & more. We will repair your blinds and shades, & replace all of those problems, with new blind parts, including; blind cords, cord locks, tilt controls & any other window blind parts needed. *We do NOT repair/replace ladder strings.

Can a blind be restrung?

Can a blind be restrung? Yes! If one or more of the lift strings becomes frayed or breaks, we can remove the broken strings and restring broken blinds strings so your blinds can work like new. *We do NOT repair/replace ladder strings.

Can you repair vertical blinds?

Can you repair vertical blinds? YES! We can repair most Hunter Douglas vertical blinds and vertical window shades! Hunter Douglas blinds are the best window treatment on the market and we can get parts for 95% of their blinds & window shades.

Do you repair vertical blinds? (NOT Hunter Douglas brand)

Do you repair vertical blinds? (NOT Hunter Douglas brand) NO. Because 99% of the time, your vertical blind is too old to be saved. However, we do sell NEW vertical (headrail) tracks. MOST vertical tracks that we sell only cost between $139-$199 brand new! (buy now & save the headache) Our new vertical tracks do come with new valance clips as well.

Can you repair broken cords inside blinds?

Can you repair broken cords inside blinds? YES! We can repair ALL types of cords! When we repair your blinds or window shades, we FULLY repair everything we see wrong with the blinds. We repair ALL of the cords, not just the broken ones. *We do NOT repair/replace ladder strings.

Do you offer in-home blind repairs? It depends! MOST blinds that break, need new parts & 1-2 hours to fully repair each blind. With that said, MOST of our customers do NOT know what part they will need. (too many parts on the market) So it depends, however, MOST of the time, it is easier if the blinds are repaired off-site & repaired correctly! Let us FULLY repair your blinds the right way...and you'll NEVER need the blinds fixed again!

Are my blinds worth fixing? YES! Well, MOST of the time the answer is YES! It depends on a few things... Are the blinds Hunter Douglas? (If so, then YES!) Were the blinds more than $130 each? (If so, then YES!) Do you have a room filled with these blinds? (If so, then YES! Because it will cost you a lot more money to replace all of them) Are the blinds in good condition still? (If so, then YES!) However, if the blinds are in poor condition & too old...maybe it's time to buy NEW blinds. Does the repair cost include cleaning too?

Does the repair cost include cleaning too? NO. The repair cost & the cleaning cost are 2 different charges. However, the good news is that BOTH charges are very low cost & affordable! 

My blinds fell off of my wall, can you fix them? 

My blinds fell off of my wall, can you fix them? It depends on the problem. IF you also need your blinds cleaned, blinds repaired, and/or drapery cleaning then YES, we can help! However, IF you ONLY need the blinds to be re-hung and NOTHING else, other than new installation brackets, then NO...Call an installer. (We can recommend one to you)

Can you fix ripped fabric window shades? 

Can you fix ripped fabric window shades? NO. If your window shades are falling apart, you need NEW window treatments. We have the best prices on NEW blinds and window shades, schedule a FREE Estimate today! If you have a rip or hole in the fabric, NO one can help fix the holes or ripped fabric, NOT even the company who made it. If you buy NEW blinds from Lovitt Blinds, we will see if you qualify for extra discounts on NEW blinds. (maybe a re-make credit on NEW blinds)

Blind repairs warranty? 

Blind repairs warranty? YES! We give you a FREE "guarantee/warranty" with EVERY repair! However, we are so good at repairing blinds, you don't even need to worry about a warranty! In case you haven't used us before and you're worried, you will receive a minimum of 90 days - 1 year on each repair. If the blinds do NOT break within 1 year, they probably won't break for at least 7-10 years!

Can you repair broken blind slats?

Can you repair broken blind slats? YES! Most of the time we can! However, IF more than 3 or more slats are broken, you probably need NEW blinds & a trained dog! It also depends on if it is a vertical blind wood blind or many other types. Call us first & we can problem solve your issues over the phone.

Can window blinds be repaired?

Can window blinds be repaired? Yes! Fortunately, one damaged slat does not call for a whole new window treatment. We can fix this window blind problem. If you need a blind repair kit, no problem… Lovitt Blinds & Drapery has blind repair kits on stock, for most types of blinds & window shades.

Can you repair drapery rods?

Can you repair drapery rods? NO. We do NOT offer any repairs on any drapery and/or drapery hardware. When drapery rods/hardware break, most of the time they are NOT able to be saved, or the parts are NO longer made. (Call the manufacturer.)

Can you re-use parts from one blind & put the parts on another blind?

NO. Because it's a waste of time. BOTH blinds are the same age most likely, so they BOTH have old parts. (old parts break) If one blind is newer than the other blind, well then the parts will NOT match. NEW parts are always included in our repair cost, we charge a flat rate, whether or not we use your parts OR our parts.

How long does it take to repair blinds? 

How long does it take to repair blinds? It all depends on the problem & brand of the blinds. We will provide you with an estimate after we know what's wrong with your broken blinds.

How much does it cost to replace a blind slat? Blind slat repair cost ranges from a few dollars per slat (vertical vane) up to a $130 blind repair, in most cases. It all depends on the problem & brand of the blinds.

How do you fix a broken window blind?

Your broken blinds are now fully repaired and “like-new” again! *We do not repair/replace ladder strings.
